Olisa Ndah
Orlando Pirates have confirmed a mutual separation with Nigerian defender Olisa Ndah, bringing an end to his four-year spell at the Soweto giants.
Orlando Pirates Football Club on Thursday confirmed that it has reached a mutual agreement with defender Olisa Ndah to part ways, following the player’s request for an early release from his contract.
The decision comes after careful and respectful discussions between Ndah and the Club’s management, with both parties agreeing that the move would allow the Nigerian international to secure regular game time as he enters the next phase of his career.
Ndah, 28, joined the Buccaneers in 2021 and quickly established himself as a commanding figure at the heart of the defence. Known for his strength in the tackle, composure on the ball and unwavering commitment, he played a key role during a pivotal period for the Club.
Over the course of more than 80 appearances in the famous black and white jersey, Ndah consistently embodied the values of Orlando Pirates. He was a dependable and disciplined presence on the pitch, while off it he conducted himself as a model professional who represented the badge with distinction.
The Club said it respected Ndah’s desire for increased minutes on the field and acknowledged his honest and open engagement with management throughout the process, which ultimately led to an amicable separation.
“Orlando Pirates Football Club would like to thank Olisa for his professionalism, dedication and service to the Club. We wish him every success in the next chapter of his career, both on a personal level and in his continued journey in the game,” the Club said in a statement.
