WANTED: Klerksdorp police seek ATM fraud suspect Isaac Molefi
Police are appealing to the public for help in locating a 41-year-old suspect linked to an ATM fraud syndicate after he failed to appear in court.
Police in Klerksdorp, North West, are appealing to the public for assistance in locating 41-year-old Ramagatsi Isaac Molefi, also known as “Mazaza”, who is wanted in connection with an alleged ATM fraud syndicate.
Molefi is believed to be part of a group that targets bank clients at ATMs by distracting them and stealing their bank cards, which are then used to withdraw cash.
He was previously arrested and appeared before the Klerksdorp Regional Court, where he was granted bail. However, he failed to return to court last week.
Authorities have confirmed that Molefi has a history of theft-related offences, with previous convictions dating back to 2019, raising concerns about repeat criminal activity.
Police are urging anyone with information that could assist in locating him to come forward. Members of the public can contact the investigating officer, Warrant Officer Connie Nepgen, the Klerksdorp Detectives, or the branch commander.
Anonymous tips can also be submitted via the MySAPS app or by calling Crime Stop.
Police emphasised that community cooperation remains critical in ensuring Molefi is traced.
