Siyabonga and Malusi Ndimande are calling for access to detailed extradition papers after being transferred from Eswatini to face charges in the high-profile AKA and Tebz murder case, claiming they were not given full legal records of their surrender.
Siyabonga and Malusi Ndimande, the brothers extradited from Eswatini to face charges in the murders of rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes and Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane, have requested full access to their extradition records. Their lawyers say they were handed over without receiving a copy of the surrender order or detailed court documentation outlining the legal basis for their transfer.
The brothers had abandoned their appeal against extradition in Eswatini in late October, allowing their return to South Africa. Since arriving, they have been scheduled to appear in court on serious charges including murder, conspiracy, and illegal possession of firearms. Their legal team argues that the lack of access to full documentation hinders their ability to prepare a proper defence and could raise procedural questions in their trial.
The handover was coordinated by South African authorities in conjunction with Interpol, with security measures taken due to the high-profile nature of the case. While the National Prosecuting Authority and SAPS have not publicly commented on the brothers’ demand, the matter is expected to be addressed in court as the legal process continues. The case has drawn intense public and media attention, reflecting the gravity of the allegations and the scrutiny on due process.
