The breakthrough came just before halftime. Midfielder Sipho Mbule sent a precise diagonal pass to Moremi, who controlled the ball beautifully before rifling it into the bottom corner. The goal showcased composure and clinical finishing, setting the Buccaneers on course for the win.
Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou tweaked his side with two upfront changes, introducing Deano Van Rooyen and Mbekezeli Mbokazi, which added balance and attacking sharpness. The 40,000-strong crowd responded with roaring support as Pirates took command.
