Veteran actress Rami Chuene has confirmed that the South African Broadcasting Corporation will be paying her repeat fees for Giyani: Land Of Blood, saying the payment is a reminder that actors deserve compensation when their work is rebroadcast.
South African actress and media personality Rami Chuene has publicly confirmed that she is set to receive repeat fees from the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) for her work on the television drama Giyani: Land Of Blood.
In a social media post shared on Tuesday, 19 May 2026, Chuene revealed that she had received communication from the broadcaster confirming that payment for the repeated airing of the show would be processed after all paperwork had been completed and submitted.
The celebrated actress said she chose to make the announcement public to encourage fellow performers and remind them that repeat fees are rightfully owed to actors when productions are rebroadcast. She also expressed appreciation to the SABC for honouring the payment and voiced hope that other actors whose productions continue to air on television are also receiving what is due to them.
