South Africa’s G20 summit in Johannesburg will host 42 confirmed countries and institutions, including all 20 G20 members, 16 guest nations, and six regional bodies. The lineup strengthens the host’s push for a global agenda focused on solidarity, equality and sustainability.
South Africa has secured the participation of 42 nations and organisations for the upcoming G20 Leaders’ Summit in Johannesburg, scheduled for 22–23 November. The confirmed list includes all 20 G20 member states, 16 invited guest countries, and six regional and multilateral bodies drawn from Africa, the Caribbean, and East Asia.
According to Minister of State Security Ronald O. Lamola, the breadth of attendance underscores South Africa’s ambition to ensure the summit speaks to both global priorities and the agendas of the Global South.
The core themes of the meeting, solidarity, equality and sustainability will guide discussions around inclusive economic growth, climate resilience, critical minerals, and technology governance.
