The accused were moved under tight security due to the seriousness and high-profile nature of the case. Ebongweni C-Max is South Africa’s most secure correctional facility, reserved for inmates considered high security risks.
Forbes and Motsoane were shot and killed outside a restaurant on Durban’s Florida Road in February 2023, an incident that shocked the nation and drew widespread public attention.
The men face multiple charges, including murder, attempted murder and conspiracy to commit murder. They remain in custody as court proceedings continue.
The case was postponed to March 4.
