Police hunt woman linked to DJ Warras murder
Police have issued a photo of Hlengiwe Buthelezi, who is wanted in connection with the murder of DJ Warrick “DJ Warras” Stock. The Johannesburg High Court has meanwhile postponed the case against alleged mastermind Victor Majola to 18 September.
Police are searching for Hlengiwe Buthelezi in connection with the murder of Warrick “DJ Warras” Stock, who was killed on 16 December 2025.
Police have released Buthelezi’s photograph as they seek information that could assist in locating her.
According to allegations presented during the bail proceedings of Victor Majola, Buthelezi is believed to have been in a relationship with Majola, who police allege orchestrated the killing.
During Majola’s bail application, investigators alleged that Buthelezi sent personal information about DJ Warras and his partner to Majola’s phone. She is also believed to have been staying in the building where Stock was killed.
Majola is facing charges related to the murder and is alleged to have played a role in planning the assassination.
Meanwhile, the Johannesburg High Court on Wednesday postponed the murder case for another month after Majola’s legal team raised issues concerning his ability to resolve financial matters relating to his legal representation.
The case will return to court on 18 September, with the court indicating that this will be the final postponement before the trial proceeds.
Another accused, 25-year-old Mozambican national Armindo Joaquim Pacula, has already pleaded guilty to being the gunman in Stock’s murder.
Pacula admitted to carrying out the shooting for R25,000 and was subsequently convicted and sentenced to 25 years in prison following a plea agreement.
