Limpopo Musician Shebeshxt denied bail in attempted murder case
Popular Limpopo artist Shebeshxt will remain behind bars after the Polokwane Magistrates’ Court ruled that he failed to show exceptional circumstances for bail.
The Polokwane Magistrates’ Court has denied bail to Limpopo musician Lehlogonolo Katlego Chauke (30), widely known by his stage names Shebe Maburna or Shebeshxt.
Chauke is facing a charge of attempted murder following an alleged shooting incident involving a motorist in October last year.
The court ruled on Thursday that the accused failed to demonstrate exceptional circumstances that would justify his release on bail. As a result, he will remain in custody.
The matter has been postponed to 15 May 2026 and will proceed in the Polokwane Regional Court for further proceedings.
He will remain behind bars until his next court appearance.
