Family identifies KwaThema victim Dineo Motapane
The family of 38-year-old Dineo Evelyn Motapane has positively identified her body after it was discovered on the side of the road in KwaThema, Springs.
The family of 38-year-old Dineo Evelyn Motapane has positively identified her body at the Springs Mortuary.
Motapane’s body was discovered on the side of the road in KwaThema, Springs, on Wednesday.
According to her family, Motapane was last seen alive on Sunday. She had not yet been reported missing when her body was discovered.
Acting National Commissioner of the South African Police Service (SAPS), Lieutenant General Puleng Dimpane, has conveyed her condolences to the Motapane family following the discovery.
Dimpane also assured the family and the KwaThema community that police investigations into the murders of eight women are being intensified.
A multidisciplinary team of investigators and specialists is working to establish the circumstances surrounding each case, identify those responsible and bring the perpetrators to justice.
Police have urged anyone with information that could assist the investigation to come forward.
