ActionSA’s Gauteng PEC has placed Cllr Kholofelo Morodi on precautionary suspension following allegations linked to the Madlanga Commission. The party emphasizes that no wrongdoing has been determined.
ActionSA’s Gauteng Provincial Executive Committee (PEC) announced on Friday that Tshwane MMC for Corporate and Shared Kholofelo Morodi has been placed on precautionary suspension with immediate effect.
This comes after claims that Morodi allegedly shared internal tender documents with Gauteng police officer Sergeant Fannie Nkosi during proceedings at the Madlanga Commission.
In a statement, Gauteng Communications Manager Mongezi Ntsebenzo said the suspension is a precautionary measure and does not imply guilt. “ActionSA takes this matter very seriously and is committed to ensuring that the full facts are established,” Ntsebenzo said.
During the suspension, Morodi will be barred from participating in party activities, structures, and communication platforms. The matter has been referred to the Provincial Ethics and Disciplinary Officer, who will conduct an investigation in line with party rules. The PEC will review the outcome and provide updates as appropriate.
