The City of Ekurhuleni has confirmed a settlement agreement with Xolani Prince Nciza, bringing an end to employment-related disputes following investigations triggered by the Madlanga Commission.
The City of Ekurhuleni has confirmed that it has reached a settlement agreement with Xolani Prince Nciza following an internal investigation prompted by revelations made at the Madlanga Commission.
In a statement on Wednesday the city said, the investigation included a verification process conducted with a relevant university to assess the authenticity of Nciza’s qualifications. The qualifications were subsequently confirmed as valid.
The settlement follows a period of engagement between the City and Nciza aimed at resolving outstanding employment-related disputes in a constructive and legally compliant manner. As part of the agreement, both parties have committed to closing all pending matters and moving forward in the interest of organisational stability and continuity.
The City further stated that the agreement provides for the withdrawal of disputes and the normalisation of the employment relationship, in line with applicable labour processes.
While confirming the agreement, the municipality indicated that it will not disclose further details at this stage, citing respect for the integrity of the process.
The City reiterated its commitment to fair labour practices, sound governance, and maintaining a stable and professional working environment.
