Flora Monama has been appointed as the Member of the Mayoral Committee responsible for Corporate and Shared Services, City of Tshwane Mayor Nasiphi Moya announced on Wednesday.
Monama brings more than three decades of senior public sector experience to her new role, with a strong background in human resource management, labour relations, compliance oversight, and organisational administration.
She currently serves as Chairperson of the Section 79 Committee on Utility Services, where she has played a key role in strengthening municipal accountability and overseeing critical service delivery functions.
Her tenure has been marked by disciplined leadership, strong organisational skills, and a focus on ensuring that systems operate efficiently to support delivery.
The Corporate and Shared Services portfolio forms the backbone of the City’s administration, providing essential administrative, human resource, and organisational support across all departments. The role requires firm leadership, effective systems, and a clear commitment to operational efficiency.
Monama’s extensive experience positions her well to reinforce these internal systems, ensuring that the City’s administrative functions effectively support improved service delivery for residents.
