Tony Forbes, father of late rapper AKA, expressed satisfaction with the arrests of the Ndimande brothers, whom he believes were the shooters. He praised the police for their thorough work, saying he was proud of how police collaborated with the NPA.
“They promised to make arrests and stayed committed. I commend the entire team, especially KZN Police Commissioner Lt General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi,” Forbes said.
Forbes said he holds no hatred toward the suspects and has forgiven them. “What I want to know is who ordered and organised the hit, I want justice,” he said when asked what he would say to them.
The Ndimande brothers have touched down in King Shaka International Airport on Tuesday to face trial. Siyabonga and Malusi Ndimande, who were arrested in Eswatini earlier this year, were extradited from ESwatini to stand trial for the murder of rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes and celebrity chef Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane. Police confirmed that the two suspects are currently being processed.
