DA MP Leon Schreiber says the party is focused on fixing service delivery failures through its role in the Government of National Unity.
Leon Schreiber has reaffirmed that the Democratic Alliance is using its position in the Government of National Unity (GNU) to address persistent challenges, particularly service delivery failures in municipalities.
Schreiber was speaking to more than 2,000 delegates at the party’s Federal Congress, held at the Gallagher Convention Centre on Saturday.
He said the DA’s work across the six government portfolios it currently oversees demonstrates its ability to resolve complex and long-standing issues. According to Schreiber, the party is actively working to rebuild state institutions in the wake of state capture.
He also sought to reassure communities affected by failing municipalities, saying the DA has proven its capability to deliver solutions at local, provincial and national levels. Schreiber described this as a message of hope, arguing that the party can address problems that others have failed to resolve.
