A 25-year-old Mozambican national has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of popular DJ Warrick “DJ Warras” Stock in the Johannesburg CBD.
A 25-year-old Mozambican national has been arrested in connection with the murder of popular DJ Warrick “DJ Warras” Stock, who was shot and killed in the Johannesburg CBD in December.
According to police, the suspect was arrested on Friday at the Marathon informal settlement in Primrose, Ekurhuleni, during a Crime Intelligence-led take-down operation.
The arrest was carried out by the Gauteng Serious and Violent Crimes Investigation’s Provincial Investigation Unit, following ongoing investigations into the high-profile killing.
Police confirmed that the suspect is expected to appear in court on Monday, where he will face charges of murder and contravention of the Immigration Act.
Meanwhile, the first suspect arrested in the matter, Victor Majola, was denied bail on 26 January 2026. Majola is due to return to court on 11 February 2026.
Investigations into the murder of DJ Warras are continuing.
