The community of Limpopo is preparing to bid farewell to two young cousins, Tshiamo Moramaga, 22, and Baleseng Moramaga, 21, who were brutally killed in Mamelodi East last week.
The pair will be laid to rest on Saturday. Their bodies were found on Sunday morning.
A 38-year-old Tebogo Mnisi has been arrested in connection with the murders. Mnisi appeared briefly in the Mamelodi Magistrate’s Court earlier this week, where he was remanded in custody after abandoning his bail application.
Mourners, including relatives, friends, and community members gathered at the Moramaga family home to offer support and share memories of the two young men whose lives were cut short.
Family spokesperson Edward Moramaga said the family remains deeply devastated by the tragedy.
He explained that news of the incident has stirred intense emotions, leaving family members struggling to sleep and cope with their grief. Moramaga added that the pain is made worse by reports suggesting a single individual was responsible for the killings, saying the family cannot comprehend how one person could take their loved ones’ lives.
