Gauteng Hawks boss, crime intelligence deputy and businessman back in court over precious metals case
Gauteng Hawks head Major General Ebrahim Kadwa, Crime Intelligence deputy head Major General Feroz Khan, and businessman Tariq Downes are expected to appear in the Kempton Park Magistrate's Court on Tuesday as their alleged precious metals case resumes.
The case involving Gauteng Hawks head Major General Ebrahim Kadwa, Crime Intelligence deputy head Major General Feroz Khan, and businessman Tariq Downes is set to return to the Kempton Park Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.
The three accused face charges linked to the alleged unlawful possession and dealing in precious metals.
Kadwa, Khan and Downes were arrested in May and were each granted bail of R20,000. They remain out on bail pending the continuation of the court proceedings.
Meanwhile, Khan remains in hospital and is not expected to appear.
The matter is expected to continue before the Kempton Park Magistrate's Court, where the State and defence are likely to provide an update on the progress of the case.
