The Democratic Alliance (DA) has confirmed with deep shock and sadness that its Dunoon Ward 104 in Cape Town by-election candidate and community activist, Sinovuyo Dyokwe, was shot and killed.
In a statement on Saturday, the party said that the incident happened after Dyokwe had spent the day participating in voter registration and re-registration efforts during the first day of Registration Weekend.
