Court postpones Jub Jub’s kidnapping and firearm case to August 2026
Television personality and musician Jub Jub appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court on Monday on charges linked to an alleged incident involving an e-hailing driver in Edenvale. The matter was postponed to 24 August 2026.
Television personality and musician Molemo “Jub Jub” Maarohanye appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court on Monday in connection with an alleged incident involving an e-hailing driver in Edenvale.
Maarohanye was arrested on 14 June 2026 and spent two days in custody before securing his release on R5,000 bail following an urgent court application.
He is facing multiple charges, including kidnapping, the unlawful discharge of a firearm, and defeating the ends of justice.
The case relates to allegations stemming from an incident involving an e-hailing driver. Details surrounding the circumstances of the alleged offences are expected to emerge as the matter progresses through the courts.
The case was postponed to 24 August 2026 for further proceedings.
Maarohanye is out on bail pending the continuation of the case.
