Collen Mashawana Foundation and WesBank hand over 12 fully furnished homes to families

The Collen Mashawana Foundation and WesBank have delivered 12 fully furnished homes to deserving families across South Africa, marking another milestone in their partnership to improve access to quality housing.

The handover forms part of WesBank's "One Brick at a Time" initiative, which supports the Foundation's mission to restore dignity and improve the lives of vulnerable South Africans through sustainable housing.

Each beneficiary family received a newly built, fully furnished home designed to provide a safe and secure environment from which they can build a better future.

Chief Operating Officer of the Collen Mashawana Foundation, Austin Mashawana, welcomed the successful completion of the project, saying the initiative demonstrates what can be achieved when the private sector and civil society work together.

"This milestone reflects what is possible when the private sector and civil society work together with a shared purpose. We sincerely thank WesBank for honouring its commitment and believing in our vision of restoring dignity through decent housing," he said.

Mashawana added that the homes represent more than just shelter.

"These 12 homes represent more than shelter, they offer hope, stability and a foundation for families to thrive. We look forward to strengthening this partnership and changing many more lives across South Africa."

Mashawana also thanked WesBank, its employees, project teams and other stakeholders for contributing to the success of the project.

He said the foundation remains committed to building sustainable communities by providing quality housing and restoring hope to vulnerable families through meaningful partnerships.
