Case against men accused of killing DJ Warras moves to High Court
The murder case involving two men accused of assassinating Warrick “DJ Warras” Stock has been transferred to the High Court after the State confirmed that all investigations into the killing have been finalised.
The case against alleged mastermind Victor Majola and alleged gunman Armindo Pacula is set to continue in the Johannesburg High Court following a brief appearance in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.
The two men are accused of murdering Warrick “DJ Warras” Stock, who was shot dead outside the Zambesi Building in the Johannesburg CBD on 16 December in what investigators believe was a planned hit.
The court confirmed that the matter has been postponed to 18 June 2026 for pretrial proceedings in the High Court.
State prosecutor Vincent Mochabela told the court that all outstanding investigations had been completed, allowing the matter to proceed to trial.
The State said that investigators finalised cellphone data analysis linked to both accused, completed financial investigations, conducted facial comparison analysis and prepared the indictment.
Authorities allege that Pacula carried out the shooting, while Majola planned the assassination.
The matter was previously postponed in April after prosecutors requested additional time to complete several outstanding aspects of the investigation before trial proceedings could begin.
During Wednesday’s proceedings, the State formally requested that the matter be transferred to the High Court, indicating readiness to proceed.
The pair first appeared together in court in February this year. Both accused will remain behind bars.
