ANC appoints acting spokespersons during Bhengu-Motsiri's health leave
The ANC has appointed Nonceba Mhlauli and Zuko Godlimpi as Acting National Spokespersons while Mahlengi Bhengu-Motsiri takes special leave to focus on health-related matters. The party says the move will ensure continuity in its communication and public engagement efforts.
The African National Congress (ANC) has announced the appointment of National Executive Committee members Nonceba Mhlauli and Zuko Godlimpi as Acting National Spokespersons with immediate effect.
The appointments come as ANC National Spokesperson Mahlengi Bhengu-Motsiri has been granted special leave to attend to personal health matters. In a statement the party said that the acting spokespersons will jointly assume the responsibilities of communicating the ANC's policies, programmes and positions during her absence.
The ANC said the deployment is aimed at ensuring continuity in the organisation's communication efforts and maintaining effective engagement with the media, stakeholders and the public. The party expressed confidence in both Mhlauli and Godlimpi, citing their extensive organisational experience and understanding of the ANC's strategic objectives.
The governing party also conveyed its well wishes to Bhengu-Motsiri, expressing hope for her speedy and full recovery. The ANC further called on its members, supporters, stakeholders and media practitioners to cooperate with the acting spokespersons as they carry out their duties on behalf of the organisation.
