12 SAPS officials and a company director face fraud and corruption charges linked to an irregular tender.
Twelve senior police officers, along with a company director, have been arrested in connection with the irregular awarding of a tender to Medicare24 Tshwane District, which is owned by Vusimuzi "Cat" Matlala.
This comes after the Investigating Directorate Against Corruption (IDAC) conducted a raid on Tuesday.
IDAC spokesperson Henry Mamothame said the accused are expected to make their first appearance in the Pretoria Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, where they will face charges of corruption, fraud and contravention of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA).
