Trial dates set for seven accused in AKA and Tibz murder case
Seven men accused of the murders of rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes and his friend Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane are expected to stand trial from 5 October to 8 November, with the case returning to court in August for further preparations.
The murder trial for seven men accused of killing Kiernan “AKA” Forbes and Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane has been scheduled to run from 5 October to 8 November.
Lindokuhle Thabani Mkhwanazi, Lindani Zenzele Ndimande, Siyanda Eddie Myeza, Mziwethemba Harvey Gwabeni, Lindokuhle Lindo Ndimande, Siyabonga Gezani Ndimande, and Malusi Dave Ndimande appeared together for the first time at the Durban Magistrate’s Court on Thursday.
The court confirmed that the matter has been adjourned to 13 August to allow the respective legal teams to meet ahead of trial preparations. However, the judge indicated that the main trial will proceed during the October sitting.
The accused are charged in connection with the fatal shooting of Forbes and Motsoane, which took place outside a Durban restaurant in February 2023.
