Menlyn Park brings Africa's biggest LEGO® fan experience to Pretoria with Brickfair 2026

Menlyn Park Shopping Centre promises a day filled with family fun, celebrations of creativity and showcases of innovation, in partnership with LEGO® Brickfair 2026. With more than 130 exhibitors and over 240 stands, LEGO Brickfair is one experience you won't want to miss.

Africa's largest shopping mall, Menlyn Park Shopping Centre, will host Brickfair 2026, the largest LEGO fan event on the African continent, on 24 and 25 October 2026. Presented in partnership with Great Yellow Brick and Brickfair, the highly anticipated event will transform the centre into a vibrant celebration of creativity, imagination and artistry, bringing together LEGO enthusiasts, families, collectors and master builders from across South Africa and beyond.

Brickfair 2026 will showcase the remarkable art of LEGO building, featuring millions of LEGO creations meticulously assembled into extraordinary displays. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore over 240 stands showcasing everything from intricate cityscapes and engineering marvels to imaginative fantasy worlds and pop culture-inspired creations. With more than 130 exhibitors participating, including members of the renowned zaLUG and JoburgLUG (LEGO User Groups), the event promises an unforgettable experience for visitors of all ages.

"At Menlyn Park, our focus is on continually enhancing the shopping experience by bringing meaningful and engaging activations to our customers," says Nisha Kemraj, General Manager of Menlyn Park Shopping Centre. "Events such as Brickfair add another dimension to our retail offering, creating reasons for customers to spend more time at the centre while engaging with brands and retailers in a memorable way." As part of its commitment to creating a differentiated retail offering, the shopping centre continues to bring unique events and activities to its shoppers, enhancing the customer experience while reinforcing Menlyn Park's position as one of South Africa's leading shopping destinations.

"Brickfair has become one of the most anticipated events on our annual calendar because it appeals to a broad audience, from dedicated LEGO enthusiasts to families looking for a unique day out. Hosting Africa's largest LEGO fan event helps differentiate Menlyn Park in a competitive retail environment and reinforces our positioning as a shopping destination that consistently delivers fresh, relevant and engaging experiences for our customers. We are proud to partner with the Brickfair team and Great Yellow Brick to bring this extraordinary event to our community."

Beyond the exhibition displays, visitors can participate in a variety of interactive activities throughout the weekend. LEGO South Africa will host dedicated play areas where children can enjoy free building activities, colouring-in stations and hands-on LEGO fun. Aspiring builders will also have the opportunity to participate in exciting build competitions taking place throughout the event. A major highlight will be the official Brickfair Build Competition, where entrants will showcase their creations for judging on Saturday, with winners announced during the prize-giving ceremony on Sunday. Builders interested in competing or exhibiting can register via Brickfair South Africa.

According to Willi Badenhorst, one of the organisers of Brickfair, the partnership with Menlyn Park continues to play a critical role in growing the LEGO building community and making the event accessible to an even wider audience. "Together, we are bringing Africa's largest LEGO fan event to thousands of visitors while celebrating the incredible artistry that can be achieved with LEGO bricks. Menlyn provides the perfect environment for builders, families and enthusiasts to come together and share their passion."

Whether visitors are seasoned LEGO collectors, aspiring master builders or simply looking for an inspiring family outing, Brickfair 2026 promises a weekend filled with imagination, creativity and brick-built wonder.

The exhibition will take place in the passageways surrounding the LEGO Certified Store at Menlyn Park and will be open to the public throughout the weekend, with free admission.
