DJ Warras murder: Wanted suspect Hlengiwe Buthelezi arrested in KZN

Police have arrested Hlengiwe Buthelezi, who was wanted in connection with the murder of popular DJ Warrick “DJ Warras” Stock, in Msinga, KwaZulu-Natal, on Wednesday evening.

The 40-year-old woman was arrested on a warrant following a nationwide search for her.

Buthelezi is facing allegations of murder and conspiracy to commit murder in connection with the fatal shooting of DJ Warras in the Johannesburg CBD on December 16, 2025.

According to the State’s case, Buthelezi allegedly forwarded the DJ’s vehicle details, as well as those of his partner, to co-accused Victor Majola.

Majola is alleged to have orchestrated the murder.

Buthelezi’s arrest follows an appeal by police in August for information that could assist in locating her. Authorities had released her photograph as part of the nationwide search.

Another accused in the case, Armando Pacula, who is alleged to have been the gunman, is already serving a 25-year prison sentence.

Pacula pleaded guilty to killing DJ Warras and entered into a plea and sentencing agreement with the State.

She is expected to appear before the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court soon.
