The Stock family has on Wednesday issued a heartfelt statement expressing indescribable heartbreak and profound sorrow following the tragic and untimely death of their beloved Warrick “Warras” Stock.

The 40‑year‑old media personality, activist, and businessman was fatally shot in downtown Johannesburg on Tuesday, 16 December 2025, in what has been described as a senseless and brutal act.

In the statement through a PR company, the family described Warrick as a devoted son, a loving father, a cherished brother, and an uncle. Known affectionately as DJ Warras, and also by the moniker “The Shady Lurker,” he was widely admired for his warmth, energy, and generosity.
